The Licking High School and Junior High Music Department held their annual Fall Concert on Tuesday, October 28, at the Sherman Hill Fieldhouse. The High School Band, directed by Mrs. Crystal Frailey, and the Junior High and High School Concert choirs, under the direction of Mrs. Kerri Chafin and accompanied by Mrs. Crystal Frailey, performed for a large audience of family and friends.

Mrs. Chafin started the program by recognizing the senior performers: in the band were Ronald Rife and Isaac Rinne, and in the choir were Jazmane Carter, Aleksey Cook, Sadie Hutsell, Araya Manson, Katelyn Mitchell, Abigail Penn and Isaac Rinne.

The High School Band led the concert, performing “Mi Vecino” (My Neighbor), by Michael Fernandez, featuring soloists Tesla Morrison, Maddy Lewis and Ronald Rife. They followed this number with “City of Stars,” arranged by Johnnie Vinson, and “Blue Ridge Reel,” by Brian Balmages.

The Junior High Choir was next in the program, singing “Feel Good,” arranged by Barbara Baker and David J. Elliot, and “I Like to Sing,” arranged by Paul Jennings.

Mrs. Chafin created a Women’s Choir by combining the junior high singers with members of the high school choir, and they performed “Does the World Say,” by Kyle Pederson.

They were followed by the High School Concert Choir, who entertained the audience with their performance of “Oceans and Stars,” by Amy Bernon, and “Come Alive,” arranged by Mark Brymer.

Mrs. Chafin recognized choir member Gwen Campbell for making the SCMMEA District Honor Choir and earning an audition for the State Honor Choir.
