Licking Junior High and High School students and their parents marked the start of the 2024-25 school year last Thursday by attending registration. Administrators, teachers and staff were available to hand out class schedules and answer questions.

Athletics, A-1 Scholarship information, FCCLA, FFA, bus routes, Chrome book information, school supplies, and student health tables were set up around the gymnasium. This year, for the first time, cell phone pouches were available at a cost of $10.00, for those students who wish to keep their phone with them during the school day. Students have the option of leaving their phones at home, in their vehicles, in the office, or keeping them in signal blocking pouches in their backpacks throughout the school day.

Incoming seventh grade students and their parents could attend an orientation meeting with Junior High Principal Angela Loughridge, who reviewed many of the new programs the students would find available on the secondary campus.

Licking Elementary and L.E.A.D. school will hold their open houses on Monday, August 19, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The first day of the 2024-25 school year is Wednesday, August 21.
