October is National Co-op Month, and Intercounty Electric Cooperative Association (IECA) is celebrating their members. Member Appreciation days have been held at three locations to date – last week in Rolla and Mountain Grove, and with the latest held in Licking on Tuesday.

Four more are planned. Next Tuesday and Thursday they will be held in St. James and Summersville, respectively. The following week, Member Appreciation days will be held at the Roby Citizens Center on Tuesday, October 28, and in Salem at the Commons on Thursday, October 30.

IECA’s coverage extends into ten counties – Dent, Phelps, Texas, Crawford, Gasconade, Laclede, Maries, Pulaski, Shannon and Wright counties, though most of their coverage is in Dent, Phelps and Texas counties.

A bag lunch was served to all who attended Tuesday’s event on the front lawn of IECA headquarters, in Licking. While there, members could sign up for a $50 electric credit drawing; one will be given away at each event. Other gifts to members included pens, caps and yardsticks.

In addition to those attending the event, employees also delivered sack lunches to many of the businesses in Licking. All together, they prepared 860 hot dogs Tuesday. Thank you, IECA, for sharing the National Co-op Month celebration with your members!
