Gorman earns Songbird Award, Rookie Talent at Miss Missouri’s Teen

Aubrey Gorman is the daughter of Kristie and Kenny Gorman, of Licking.
Miss Texas County Teen Aubrey Gorman traveled to Mexico, Mo., to compete at the Missouri Military Academy in the 94th Miss Missouri Teen competition. The pageant culminated in the crowning of the 2025 Miss Missouri Teen and Miss Missouri on Saturday, June 14.
Aubrey Gorman is the daughter of Kenny and Kristie Gorman, of Licking. Her local pageant director is Cassie Carter, of Houston. This was Gorman’s first year as a Miss Missouri Teen, and she brought home awards for her vocal talents.
“It was stressful,” she admitted. “But it was a good experience and helped me grow as a person. I’m glad I ended up doing it.”
Gorman was allowed to choose a Show Me Star to accompany her. Jordee Wiseman, age 8, daughter of Ryan and Emily Wiseman, became her “little sister” for the week. They danced onstage together, enjoyed a luncheon tea party, and autographed photos together at “Saturday on the Square.”

At a Winter Workshop, young women in the competition were divided into two groups, the Crown Group and the Sash Group. The teens competed in their groups, with some prizes given at the group level, but with other awards based on their performances against all contestants.
The Crown Group competed in a Private Interview on Tuesday. Gorman shared with the judges about her Community Service Initiative as well as her love for sports.
Wednesday evening saw the Crown Group competing in Evening Gown and in Open Question, which was described by Gorman as a “nerve-wracking” 20 seconds which contestants were given to answer an on-stage question.
Thursday evening also contained two events, Health & Fitness, where contestants performed a choreographed dance in fitness attire, and the talent competition. Gorman sang “Never Enough” from “The Greatest Showman” and earned the Crown Group Rookie Talent award, receiving a $100 scholarship. Gorman also won the Songbird Award, given to the top vocalist in points, and other scholarships for competing.
Miss Branson Teen Greta Clark, of Eureka, was the winner of the 2025 Miss Teen competition.
The Miss Missouri Scholarship Organization is the largest provider of scholarships for young women in the state of Missouri. Last year, the organization provided $85,000 in scholarships to the delegates competing for the Miss Missouri and Miss Missouri’s Teen titles.
