Obituary – Tammy M. Harris

Tammy May (Hopkins) Harris passed away at Phelps Health in Rolla, Mo., surrounded by her family on June 5, 2025. 

She was born to Marian (Barber) Hopkins and Dexter Hopkins on April 6, 1959. She is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; her father, Dexter Hopkins; her mother- and father-in-law, Bob and Betty Harris; her brother, Dexter Hopkins, Jr.; sisters-in-law Winnie Hopkins and Betty Sue Booker; and brother-in-law Billy Harris.

Tammy was joined in marriage to her husband, Brian Harris, on April 23, 1994. Together they raised three daughters, Misty Hopkins, Brianna (Jon) Walker, and Jennifer Bartlett. Along with her husband and daughters, Tammy leaves behind her mother, Marian Hopkins; brother James (Chris) Hopkins; brother-in-law Bobby (Anita) Harris; sister-in-law Brenda (Stephen) Byrd; and six grandchildren, Mason, Jonathan, Katelyn, Hailee, Landon and Kailee; along with several nieces, nephews and neighborhood children whom she loved dearly.

Tammy will be cremated as per her wishes and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
