My name is Lindsay Koch, and I am seeking re-election as your Texas County Recorder of Deeds. Serving the people of Texas County is something I am truly grateful for, and I have been honored to serve as your Recorder since 2015.
My career in county government began in 2007 when I started working in the Texas County Assessor’s Office, as Chief Deputy Assessor. In 2014, I was given the opportunity to join the Recorder of Deeds Office and work alongside the late Susan Warkentin. Susan became much more than my boss—she was a wonderful mentor who shared her knowledge and experience with me and helped prepare me for the responsibility of serving as Recorder.
When I took office in 2015, I was committed to continuing the modernization of the Recorder’s Office while preserving the history and records of Texas County. Over the years, my staff and I have continued working to scan, preserve, and index historical record images, making them easier for the public to search and access. As technology continues to evolve, I believe it is important for our office to move forward with it while maintaining the personal service our citizens deserve.
I am actively involved with the Recorders’ Association of Missouri, where I have had the opportunity to serve in several leadership roles. In 2024, I served as Chair of the Site Committee. I served as Chair of the Conference Committee in 2025 and continue in that role in 2026. I also currently serve as Secretary of the Executive Board and as a member of the Legislative Committee. My involvement with the association allows me to work alongside Recorders from across Missouri, stay informed on issues and legislation affecting our offices, and bring valuable knowledge and resources back to Texas County.
Outside of the office, I am a wife, a mom to four children, and a proud Nonni to our grandson. My family is an incredibly important part of my life, and I am thankful to raise our family and call Texas County home.
One of the things I enjoy most about being Recorder is simply being able to help people. Whether someone is recording a deed, applying for a marriage license, researching family history, or trying to locate an old record, I want them to know they can come into our office and be treated with kindness and respect.
I am proud of what my staff and I have accomplished, and I am thankful for the trust Texas County has placed in me over the years. I would be honored to continue serving as your Recorder of Deeds and respectfully ask for your support as I seek another term.
Candidate Madeline Miller – Democrat:

I am Madeline Miller. I am running for the office of Texas County Recorder of Deeds.
I have a BS in Secondary Education, plus additional graduate courses for vocational certification. My experience consists of approximately 20 years in real estate and insurance. Also, I have served in the past on the Cass Township board as clerk and treasurer, the County Library Board and I am currently on the County Health Board and the County Planning Commission.
I have been a real estate broker in the past and am familiar with the activities of the Recorder’s office. As Recorder, I would be interacting very well with the various County and Local offices. I am familiar with many of the people in these offices and have worked with them in the past. There have been some updates to the procedures in the Recorder’s office, and I will update myself regarding these changes.
I believe that there should be equal representation in our County Court House and that people should have a choice in elections. I also believe that the citizens of Texas County should have simple and easy access to our public records. I would appreciate your vote for Texas County Recorder of Deeds.
