Are you tired of winter? Ready for a taste of summer? How about a fish fry?
Licking Downtown Inc. will hold their fourth annual fish fry on Saturday, February 22, to raise funds for the maintenance of the historic Licking Mill.
Join the fun as music by Herman Hall and delicious fried fish with all the fixings will begin at 4 p.m. at the Licking VFW Hall. Johnny Revelle will call the auction at 6 p.m. Don’t miss this year’s auction – the quilt and painting donated by the Restorative Justice Organization at South Central Correctional Center will be sure to have bidders eager to take them home. Desserts and other items will also be auctioned.
Herman Hall’s “The ‘50s at 70” show is always a lot of fun. Enjoy fish, taters, beans, coleslaw, cornbread and hush puppies as you enjoy the music. Delivery is also available in town – call 573-674-2547 for delivery.
The historic Licking Mill not only is a visual landmark in the town, the building and grounds have been the location for numerous community events for many years, including the Christmas toy giveaway, the Fall Festival and the Lighting of the Mill.
Licking Downtown Inc. is committed to preserving the mill. All proceeds from the evening will go toward the maintenance and ongoing repair of the mill.
