A benefit fish fry was held in memory of Kenny “Spare Tire” Hood on Friday evening at the Fox Fire House Community Room in Licking. Family and friends gathered to prepare and serve fish and all the fixings to those who showed up in support of his wife, Tina Hood, and her family. Kenny Hood passed away at the end of December after a lengthy hospital stay in Springfield.

A large group of family and friends cooked and served at the event, including Jeff Wade, Steve Skidmore, Teresa Skidmore, Owen Skidmore, Ethan Smith, Brandi Booker Smith, Andy Booker, Lisa Booker, Steve Booker, Emily Hood Parker and Robert Hood, while Bailey Booker and helper Ridge Smith greeted diners at the door.

Members of the community filled the tables, and as some left, others continued to file in, keeping servers busy. The benefit truly showed the community spirit of Licking.
