Obituary – Jeanne A. Zaborowski-Bortz
Jeanne A. Zaborowski-Bortz, age 83, passed away in Rolla, Mo., on January 10, 2025. She was born July 25, 1941, in Chisholm, Minn., to Gildo DeBellis and Rose Badiali.
Jeanne is survived by her loving husband, Leo Zaborowski; children, Mary McGuire (Matt), Chris Higley (Mark), and Alex Zaborowski (Lilly); and one sister, Joanne Laverne.
She graduated from Grand Rapids Senior High School, Grand Rapids, Minn., in 1959 before attending Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. Jeanne later married Leo Zaborowski on May 26, 1988.
Jeanne’s hobbies included design, art and traveling. She loved to embroider jackets and table toppers. She had an eye for home interior and landscape design. Jeanne and Leo enjoyed traveling in their 42-foot motorhome and always wanted to see what was over the next hill.
