The annual Edgar Springs Christmas Parade and Breakfast with Santa were held Saturday, December 14.

A rainy morning did not stop the parade, though some watched from the protection of their cars. Walkers delivered handfuls of candy to hastily opened windows. Others couldn’t contain their excitement and left the dryness of their vehicles to chase thrown candy.

A queue of vehicles followed the parade back to the fire station, where Breakfast with Santa was held. A warm, free breakfast of pancakes and sausage was welcome after the dampness of the parade. Santa and Mrs. Claus greeted children and presents were given to each child who attended.

The annual event is hosted by the Edgar Springs Fire Protection District, with the help of friends in the community. Despite the rain, the tables at the fire station were filled with people enjoying the breakfast, while children waited patiently in line to see Santa and Mrs. Claus.
