Out of 17,274 registered voters in Texas County, 11,640 voted on Tuesday, November 5 (67.38%).
Texas County’s choices mirrored that of the country with the selection of the Republican team of Trump/Vance for President and Vice President. The Texas County choices in all of the statewide elections won their respective races as well.
Republicans won all Texas County elections save one; Tammy Cantrell, Democrat, will remain the Texas County Collector/Treasurer.
Texas County voters supported retaining Missouri Supreme Court and Southern District Court of Appeal Judges, as did the state as a whole. Texas County said No to Constitutional Amendments 2, 3, 5, 6 and Proposition A, only supporting Constitutional Amendment 7. Statewide, Constitutional Amendments 2, 3 and 7, and Proposition A passed. Only Constitutional Amendments 5 and 6 failed statewide.
Election results were as follows in the county:
President and Vice President: Total votes 11,525.
