Obituary – Michael “Mike” James

Michael Allen James was born February 27, 1968, in Houston, Missouri, to Donnie and Beverly James. Mike passed away on November 6, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri.

Mike was preceded by his parents, Donnie and Beverly James. 

He is survived by his brother, Donnie James, Jr. and wife, Debbie, of Claremore, Okla.; sister, Sheila Hall and husband, Donnie, of Evansville, Ind.; and brother Steve James and Ranell Wilson, of Houston, Mo. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews, Jennifer James, Perry James, Chris James, Nicole Burks, Austin Hall, and Emily Hall  

After high school, Mike joined the United States Marines. He was proud of his service to his country. Along with traveling across the country, he was also stationed in Japan for a while. 

Mike was a country boy through and through. He was an excellent banjo player and played with his family and friends for years. He enjoyed riding around gravel roads with friends and shooting the breeze. He loved to spend time with his family. He was so proud of his nieces and nephews and loved spending time with them, as well as his great-nieces and nephew. 

A visitation for Mike will take place Tuesday, November 12, 2024 from 12 to 1 p.m. at Fox Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. at Fox Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Tyrone Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.foxfh.net.
