Fried fish, fabulous desserts and friendly faces

Several attended the Fish Fry on Friday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Licking. A delicious meal of fried fish, fries, hushpuppies, beans, cornbread, coleslaw, and a wondrous array of desserts awaited those who attended. Volunteers at the fish cookers behind the church included, from left, John Sponsel, Doyle Henken, Mike Givens, Andy Clark and Matt Sellers. Many more volunteers were busy inside or running back and forth between, making the event a success. The Knights of Columbus raise funds throughout the year to contribute to local charities.

Why do we hear about activities well after it happened,and it’s not just me
Please check our Coming Events tab on our webpage, or on page 2 of our print edition. The fish fry was listed there for two weeks prior. There are events that occur which we are not notified of in advance and which we do not list. But we try to list everything we know about, either through advertisements or in coming events.
