Students, teachers and staff gathered around the flagpole at Licking High School Wednesday morning before the start of school for the annual See You at the Pole event.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Coordinator Cole Roark opened the event with a prayer, and was followed by the captains of Licking FCA, who each recited a Bible verse and offered a prayer. Pastor Rick Mosher gave a closing prayer.
The courtyard between buildings and around the flagpole was filled with students during the event and offered a light in the darkness of the increasing threats against schools, both nationwide and across Missouri.
