Drug arrest leads to charges of Trafficking Drugs

During a routine patrol on August 22, at approximately 12:32 a.m., a Licking officer observed two subjects sitting outside a business which had closed for the evening. As the officer attempted to make contact with the subjects, the female subject placed an object behind the propane tank.
When the officer asked the female, Joiemarie Saiz, 27, of Houston, Mo., what she had placed near the tank, she stated, “Nothing.”
The officer continued his investigation and looked for what was placed under the propane tank, locating a hypodermic syringe containing a clear liquid and a small glass vial which contained capsules. When asked what was in the capsules, Saiz stated they contained Fentanyl.
Saiz was placed under arrest and was transported to the Texas County Jail pending formal charges.
Prosecutor Parke Stevens filed charges of Trafficking Drugs 2nd Degree against Saiz. Her arraignment was scheduled for August 27, 2024.
Charges are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence to support charges must be submitted to the courts to determine guilt or innocence.

No I don’t think that’s the case .. a lot of times the jailers will just simply say something to make you laugh , because most aren’t their to cause trouble because they know respect gets respect all way round
If she had been selling drugs to my kids I would knock that smirck 😏 off her face. I guess she thinks bringing drugs around to distribute. is funny.

Looks like you wasted tax payer dollars on your education or actually “lack of education”.
Anyone caught with fentanyl is not a bad arrest, it’s killed way too many people. Also, the article doesn’t state how many capsules, just that they were found.
Says someone who probably doesn’t have a job to pay taxes, and/or might have his own stash of illegal drugs?

I’m not for sure on other drugs but I do know it takes five pain pills to be charged with trafficking opiate/ herion
They can call it trafficking because anything over .02 of fentanyl is considered trafficking being the potency of the drug.

I don’t know why they arrest people when they just let them out the very next day. Due over crowding.This county has gone so far down hill still 1985!! It’s sickening!! They should have never came out with these dang computers!!
Hard to believe that she could have such a happy smile on her face while holding up a book in sign like she’s achieved something great.
