Licking Pentecostal Holiness Church hosted their Annual Bike Show Saturday. Registered in the show were 20 bikes, six bicycles and three electric bikes or trikes. Even more bikes could be seen parked on the perimeter or on the lot that weren’t registered in the competition.

Judges Pat Burton, Codie Hofstetter and John Jones chose first, second and third winners for each category, and selected the Ugly Bike winner as well.

This year’s show winner was Colin Barr, with second place going to Noel Reeves and third to Jay Dyck. Alternate bike winner was George Snelling, with second going to Johnny Boley. The youth bicycle show winners were Anthony Carver, first; Grayson McConnell, second; and Zoey McConnell, third. Chris McConnell repeated as winner of the Ugly Bike competition.

Pastor Erin McConnell offered a devotional during the event. He urged everyone to true their aim and aim for heaven.

The event was filled with activities for everyone, and enlisted the help of many volunteers. A silent auction was held and a quilt raffle raised money for the G1 Youth Camp and Widow’s Ministry. The quilt was donated by Nora Gant and won by Chris Storm. Hamburgers, hot dogs, and more, and a bake sale were offered by the Men’s and Women’s Ministries, Royal Rangers Group and Missionettes. A thank you goes to Brian Friend and the Licking Chamber of Commerce for the use of their grill. Door prizes donated by LPHC were handed out periodically throughout the event.

Booths were set up around the parking lot. There was face painting at Charissa McConnell’s booth for the young and the young at heart, a prayer booth (operated by Diane Beers), and candy and popcorn at the Licking United Community Help Center booth, where Terry and George Snelling could be found. Kathy Hooker, of Operation Christmas Child, shared her ministry of filling shoe boxes to spread God’s word. Crystal Ritz offered information about the upcoming G1 Youth Camp. A large booth for the Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) was evident and craft and cotton candy booths were found at the lower end of the lot.

Jim Wilson, of the CMA, worked the registration desk. Michael Florence, aka Preacher Man, of the Salem chapter of Bikers for Christ and Know My Word (KMW) Ministries, donated prizes for first, second and third place winners and the trophies for the Jr. Bike competition. He also provided the music. Big Bob Roth, Tribe of Judah Ministry, was scheduled to deliver the Biker Sunday sermon the following day. Wisdom Designs donated first, second and third place plaques for the event.

Roy and Carrie Kinder supported the event and displayed a motorcycle and motorcycle trailer that can be found at Kinder Trailer Sales.
