Assault investigation

On May 25, 2024, at approximately 12:05 a.m. Texas County deputies responded to the Texas County Memorial Hospital to speak with the victim of an assault. The victim reported that the assault occurred on Forrest Drive, in the Houston area. The victim stated she had had been assaulted by a female, later identified as Tina Dow. The victim stated Dow struck her several times with a broom causing it to break. Deputies responded to the residence on Forrest Drive and located a witness that provided a similar account of what occurred. Deputies located Dow at a different residence. After Dow was advised she was under arrest, she refused deputies’ commands and physically resisted. Dow was restrained, taken into custody and transported to jail.

Prosecuting Attorney Parke Stevens charged Tina M. Dow, age 55, of Houston, Mo., with domestic assault 2nd degree, and resisting an arrest for a felony. Dow is being held in the Texas County Jail pending a $3,000 cash only bond.

The above charges are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
