7th Annual LPHC Bike Show

Licking Pentecostal Holiness Church (LPHC) held their 7th Annual Bike Show on Saturday. Bikes could be entered in three different categories, General, Alternative and Junior bikes. First, second and third place awards were given, along with an award for the ugliest bike. Live music by The Church Band entertained all attending, and booths containing everything from food to prayers were set up around the parking lot.

Bikers and visitors received tickets for door prize drawings, which were held throughout the event. Many attending sported different face paint art, and most enjoyed hot dogs, hamburgers, fried potatoes and cold watermelon for lunch. Cold drinks were plentiful and shade was a welcome commodity to beat the heat of the summer day. And don’t forget the dessert table – baked goods tempted the taste buds of all who dared to look!

Members of the Christian Motorcycle Association provided information about their organization, and offered prayer as needed. LPHC also had a prayer booth available. A silent auction was held for a beautiful quilt, with Erin and Isobel McConnell placing the winning bid.

In this year’s bike show, in the General category, Jim Wilson won first place, James McConnell second and Mac Guymon third. Dustin Morrow took home the coveted Ugly Bike award this year. Alternative bike winners were Johnny Boley – first, Billie Jean Boley – second, and George Snelling – third. First place in the Junior Bike section was Alex McConnell, with Zoey McConnell winning second and Grayson McConnell earning third place. Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to LPHC for a day of worship music, fellowship, great food and fun at the 7th Annual Bike Show.
