Many earn awards at the 2025 Texas County Junior Livestock Fair

     A week of fun (and hard work) at the Texas County Livestock Fair came to an end with Saturday’s awards ceremony, MU Extension presentations, a tractor parade, the Farmer Appreciation Dinner, and the annual Livestock Sale. Youth spent the week cleaning stalls, preparing for shows and tending to their prize animals and their hard work paid off in the end.

MU Extension board members were on hand to congratulate the 2025 Texas County Farm Family, Wesley and Patsy Kissiar. They will represent Texas County at the State Fair in Sedalia.

Renee Fiquet-Freeman’s property was designated a Missouri Century Farm by the Texas County Extension, and she was on hand to be recognized for this accomplishment.
