Obituary – Dallas E. Leslie

Dallas Eugene Leslie entered into the arms of Jesus Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Dallas was a spirited little cowboy already at the age of 18 months. He brought laughter and joy to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He was born July 11, 2023, in Rolla, Missouri.
Dallas is survived by his loving parents, Dallas Layne and Relora Arite Jean (Embrey) Leslie, of Success, Missouri; his two brothers, Kamron Leslie and Remington Leslie, of Success; his sister, Demelza Leslie, of Success; maternal grandmother Alicia Embrey, of St. James, Missouri; and paternal grandfather Harold Smith. He is also cherished by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Dallas is preceded in death by his grandfather, Jessie Embrey, and great-grandparents, Richard Eugene and Barbara Wagoner.
Dallas shared his Daddy’s name as well as many of his loves. He loved to put his Daddy’s cowboy boots on and trudge across the room, making those watching chuckle. When playing or tinkering around the house, he liked to sing along to Willie Nelson songs or dance with Mommy to her new favorite song. He always looked forward to snuggles with Mommy while she read his favorite book. He loved chasing and tumbling with his brother and sister and riding cars and trucks outside. Dallas also shared his name with another special person, his great-grandpa, Richard Eugene. They not only shared middle names, but they also shared the gift of talking, both being friendly, outgoing, and loving; both always having a story to share. His beautiful smile and boundless energy were a joy to be around, and his memory will be cherished forever.
He lay in state from 12 – 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Jones Funeral Home, in St. James, Missouri. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Jones Funeral Home, with Bro. Gary Teague officiating.
