On February 22, 2025, at approximately 2:32 a.m., Texas County deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance on Hawkeye Road in the Solo area. The initial report was that there was a dispute, and several shots had been fired.

Deputies responded to the scene and conducted an investigation. After speaking with persons at the residence it was determined that two male subjects had been consuming alcohol and then got into an altercation. A male identified as Taylor Jones admitted to firing nine shots at the other male, none of which struck the victim. Jones was arrested and transported to the jail.

Prosecuting Attorney Parke Stevens charged Taylor Jones, age 30, of Solo, Missouri, with Domestic Assault 1st Degree, Armed Criminal Action and Unlawful Use of Weapon. Jones is being held in the Texas County Jail pending a $25,000 cash bond.

The above charges are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
