Drug Arrest in Licking

On December 27, 2024, a Licking officer was advised of a stop-and-hold request from the Houston Police Department for a vehicle and its occupants. The suspects were being sought for questioning about their involvement in a theft investigation which had just occurred at a Houston business.
The vehicle was observed travelling northbound on US 63 and was stopped within the Licking City limits. A passenger in the vehicle matched the description of the female, and was identified as Heather Hennigh. She was detained on suspicion of theft. Hennigh informed the officer that the stolen property was in the vehicle and that she had stolen it.
During an inventory search of the vehicle, stolen property was located, and the officer located and seized a baggie containing a crystalline substance which tested positive for methamphetamine and multiple items of methamphetamine drug paraphernalia. Hennigh was placed under arrest by the officer.
Hennigh was transported to the Texas County Justice Center and the stolen items were returned to a member of the Houston Police Department.
A Probable Cause Affidavit was sent to the Texas County Prosecutor’s Office seeking formal charges against Heather Hennigh, age 39, of St. James, Missouri – Count 1 Possession of a Controlled Substance – Prior Drug Offense; Count 2 Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
