Obituary – Sheila K. Swallow

Sheila Kay (Loughridge) Swallow was born April 21, 1965, at Rolla, Missouri, to Joseph Jackson Loughridge Sr. and Elsie (June) Norris Edmonds. She passed away October 27, 2024, in Safford, Arizona, at the age of 59.  

Sheila was united in marriage to Danny Swallow and they had three children: Alisa Marie, Maranda Lyn and Katherine Michelle.

Sheila attended school at Licking, Missouri.

She was baptized at the First Baptist Church at an early age and continued her walk with her Lord Jesus Christ all throughout her life.

Sheila enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed celebrating special occasions by sending a card or a phone call. Sheila had a heart full of love for her family; whether it be her children, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins or friends, she loved them all. She was outgoing and never met a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Loughridge Sr.; her mother, June Edmonds; her grandparents, Clarence and Dorothy Norris and Bill and Grace Loughridge; her daughters, Alisa Swallow and Katherine Swallow, as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.  

Sheila is survived by her daughter, Maranda Van Wagner and husband, Chris; a granddaughter, Zoey; brothers, Joe Loughridge and wife, Shelly, and Doug Loughridge and wife, Angie; sisters, Rhonda ReVelle and husband, Cheyenne, Diane Norris and special friend, Teddy Collins, Tammy Ramsey, Mandy ReVelle and husband, Doyle; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

 A Celebration of Life will be held at New Life Ministries, 13894 Hwy. 17, Plato, MO 65552 at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 2024, with Pastor Judy Routh officiating. Inurnment will be in the Asher Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bradford Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
