Weekend of celebration at Boiling Springs

The Resort at Boiling Springs was filled with people this weekend, celebrating a Fourth of July Family Event. Many were camping, but others just came for the day, filling the campground as they enjoyed the activities Saturday afternoon and evening. The owners of the resort, Robert and Tina Comer, invited the community and offered free admission to the event.

Bounce houses, face painting, the pool, and a candy vendor were favorites of the younger generation, while others enjoyed live music by the South 63 Band, delicious sandwiches at the store or street tacos, visiting with friends and neighbors, and watching the children have fun. The proximity to the river shouldn’t be forgotten, as some took advantage of all it offers.

The fireworks that capped off the event were a multi-generational favorite, as the Comers entertained with bright explosions and sparkling showers of light, set off in the field beside the store. Applause and shouts showed the appreciation of those assembled, before queues of vehicles made their way home after a great day of fun in the outdoors.

“I appreciate everyone who came,” said Robert Comer. “It was a fantastic day.”
