39th Annual Chamber Rodeo this weekend!

This year’s annual Chamber of Commerce Rodeo will be held Friday, May 31, and Saturday, June 1.

Town & Country Bank is kicking off events with their annual Customer Appreciation Day with free BBQ on Friday, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. KZNN will broadcast live, and attendees can enter to win a pair of Cardinal Tickets, Rodeo Tickets and more.

Friday and Saturday evenings, the gates of the Rodeo Grounds will open at 5:30 p.m., with Mutton Bustin’ signup until 6 p.m. The youngsters and sheep will begin the show at 6:15, with the opening ceremonies at 7 p.m.

Saturday’s events begin at 9 a.m. in Downtown Licking, with food and craft vendors, and entertainment going from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., including the rodeo parade down Main Street at 2 p.m.

Saturday evening’s rodeo will be followed with a concert by Moonshine Xpress, so stay and enjoy the music after a great evening of rodeo.

This year’s Barrelman will be Jeremy Muntz. Also at this year’s rodeo will be Miss Rodeo Missouri 2024 Jordan Todd and Miss Teen Rodeo Missouri 2024 Jacie Jost.

Barrelman Jeremy Muntz started his rodeo/bullriding career as a Professional Bullfighter, and got the opportunity to work more than 10 times as a Finals Bullfighter. After a brief pause, he returned to the business as a Rodeo Clown/Barrelman & Entertainer.

While not traveling to rodeos, Muntz works as an aircraft mechanic in Iowa. Muntz shared that he spends every other free minute with his family, whom he loves so much, being a father to his four sons. Muntz is also an eight-year military Veteran, with a great love for our Country and for our amazing Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Miss Rodeo Missouri Jordan Todd was born and raised in Warrenton. She grew up on the rodeo road as she and her parents competed in rodeos all across the country. After graduating from Warrenton High School she received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Political Science from the University of Central Missouri. Todd then went to law school at the University of Missouri School of Law and achieved her Juris Doctorate degree. Todd shared that she is blessed with the opportunity to represent rodeo and the western lifestyle as Miss Rodeo Missouri. When she’s not wearing her crown you can still find her in the arena running barrels or probably studying!

Miss Teen Rodeo Missouri Jacie Jost is a sophomore at Cuba High School. She is a member of the volleyball team, serves as the FFA chapter’s Green Hand Reporter, and is the vice-president for the Crossroads 4-H group. Jost became captivated by the sport of rodeo at an early age watching her dad ride bulls, and her affinity for horses started when her Uncle Jasper bought her first pony, Hollywood, for her. These days you can often find Jost barrel racing on her two current mounts, Cookie and Bravo. Previously, she has held the titles of Junior Miss Ozark Rodeo Association in 2019, Troy Rodeo Princess in 2020 and Miss Teen ORA in 2022. Jost shared that she looks forward to meeting you on the rodeo road!
