Obituary – Jacob S. Smith
Jacob Stanley Smith, age 19, son of Stanley and Annette Smith, was born August 21, 2007, and lost his precious life September 12, 2026.
Jacob is preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Lucille Smith and his close, personal friend Paul Walker.
He is survived by his parents, Stanley and Annette Smith; sister Rylee Smith; and grandparents, Jim and Vicky Franklin, along with countless other friends and family who will miss him more than words can possibly describe.
His life was tragically cut too short with so much life still to live, countless memories to still be made, and huge dreams left to fulfill.
Jacob grew up mainly in the Raymondville area where he loved to hunt and fish in the surrounding woods and ponds.
He was currently a Senior at Licking High School and had just completed basic training for the National Guard, which he was so proud of. After graduation he would have gone on to do his A.I.T (Advanced Individual Training) and would have eventually become a diesel mechanic.
He loved so many things, like cars, ranch with his apples, he loved gigging, hunting and fishing, kayaking, he loved to camp at rivers and lakes, loved playing pool and hanging out with his many friends, and he loved his trips to elk hunt in Colorado with his dad. Above everything though he loved his family and his friends.
Jacob touched the lives of so many people in the short amount of time he had before he was taken from all of us who knew him and loved him greatly. He will be missed more than he could possibly ever know.
A visitation for Jacob took place Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Fox Funeral Home. A funeral service was held Friday, September 18, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Fox Funeral Home. Interment followed in Antioch Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.foxfh.net. Arrangements were entrusted to Fox Funeral Home.
A candlelight vigil will be held on Saturday, September 26, at 7 p.m. at the gravel parking lot south of Licking High School, at the junction of College Street and South Main Street.
