Obituary – MayBelle Gale

MayBelle Gale was born in Licking, Missouri on May 18, 1954, to Clabe Sullins and Clara May Sullins (Skidmore). She passed on July 3, 2026, with her family by her side at the age of 72 years.
MayBelle married Benji Gale on April 6, 1974. To this union, three children were born, William Bradley, Wenona (Wendy), and Tilden.
MayBelle enjoyed simple things in life. She enjoyed planting flowers. She liked to watch the birds and later even the pesky squirrels that would take over her feeders! She enjoyed living on the farm and watching the sheep in the field. When she became ill and moved to town, she enjoyed being able to get together with her sisters and brothers more often. They’d spend their mornings together a lot of the time. They enjoyed drinking coffee and watching game shows (I call them the breakfast club) along with pestering her great-niece, Abriella. She enjoyed scratching lottery tickets and loved going to the casino when she was able. She especially loved it when her siblings were able to join.
MayBelle was baptized and accepted the Lord into her life on September 27, 2019. She took this decision seriously and dedicated herself to being a good Christian. She looked forward to going to church on Sundays and enjoyed helping pack food for the GAP Ministry. When she became ill and couldn’t attend, she would still try to watch online.
MayBelle loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren so much. They were her pride and joy. She may have to occasionally get a fly swatter after them, but it was done with love. There is so much to say about her and the memories are countless. She will be so missed by all who knew and loved her. She fought a long battle with cancer and she is now pain free.
She is survived by her children, Bradley Gale (Melissa), Wendy Walker (David), and Tilden Gale (Tricia); grandchildren, Zach (Kaitlin), Katelyn (Kendall), Dakota (Rachel), Katie, Dalton (Lilly), Matt, Allie (Anthony), Ava, Kiara and Orin; great-grandchildren, Jase, Emryn, Colter, Olivia, Timber, Dylan and Kai. She is also survived by her brother, Harvey Sullins (Carol); sisters, Zedena Ullom (Kenny) and Geneva Sullins; brothers-in-law, Bub Huff, Tommy Ray Gale, Mike Gale (Billye), Sam Gale (Judy); sisters-in-law, Sharon Sullins, Christine Karnes (Dean), Rosie Ingle, Sharon James, Donnetta James, Dot Bates (Kenneth), and Sarah Bacon; mother-in-law, Judy Gale; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who have become family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Benji Gale; parents, Clabe and Clara May; father-in-law, Artis Gale; mother-in-law, Mary Gale; brothers, Frank and wife Pat Sullins, Dale and wife Beulah Sullins, Tilden Sullins, Harold and wife Kay Sullins, Narvel Sullins; sisters, Bertha Burgess, Carolyne Huff, Alta and husband Jim Huff; sisters-in-law, Jolene and husband Doug Turner, Velma Hardester; and brothers-in-law, Denny Gale, Frank Lee James and Jesse James.
