Licking Junior High students receive honors

Jasper Rodgers and Jocie Floyd received Junior High Citizenship Awards.
Licking Junior High students assembled on the final day of school for an awards ceremony.
Class officers for both the seventh and eighth grade classes were recognized for their service this year. Seventh grade class officers included: President Atlee Nelson, Vice President Brenlynn Moncrief, Reporter Ashlin Sparks and Secretary/Treasurer Schyler Sullins. Eighth grade officers recognized were: President Luci Todaro, Vice President Trapper Adey, Secretary/Treasurer Annabel Godi and Reporter Kavyn Kinder.
Eighth grade students Trapper Adey and Jocie Floyd were presented with the NFHS Award of Excellence, and Jasper Rodgers and Jocie Floyd both received Citizenship Awards.
Latin Honor recipients in the eighth grade class included: Jocie Floyd, Jasper Rodgers, Aubrie Peterson and Nathan Umfleet.
Missouri Glory Awards from the Missouri House of Representatives were awarded to eighth grade students as well. The following students received these awards:

Jasper Rodgers – Liberty
Kavyn Kinder – Equality
Jeremiah Alkire – Law and Temperance
Trapper Adey – Justice, Progress and Virtue
Brooke Stout – Fraternity and Charity
Jocie Floyd – Education
Aubrie Peterson – Honor
Korbin Quick – Truth and Enterprise
MAP Awards for students’ performances on the previous year’s MAP tests were given out to students in both classes.
Seventh grade students received for their performances on sixth grade MAP tests::
• English Arts Proficient Awards: Atlee Nelson, Sofie Hutsell, Chloe Souto, Mattison Chambers, Bobbie Liveoak, Mathew Morgan and Ray Clayton.
• English Arts Advanced Awards: Raylin St. Onge, Tensleigh Alexander, Madeleine Sullins and Genesis Gerard.
• Mathematics Proficient Awards: Tensleigh Alexander and Madeleine Sullins.
• Mathematics Advanced Awards: Natasha Ogden and Atlee Nelson.
Eighth grade students received for their performances on seventh grade MAP tests:
• English Arts Proficient Awards: Jeremiah Alkire, Wade Bisker, Remington Cantrell, Jake Dawson, Mason Gale, Luci Todaro, Nathan Umfleet and Autumn Wiebe.
• English Arts Advanced Awards: Jocie Floyd, Annabel Godi, Malaina Lonning, Hunter Powell and Ashley Rodabaugh.
• Mathematics Proficient Awards: Jeremiah Alkire, Wade Bisker, Remington Cantrell, Jake Dawson, Malaina Lonning and Nathan Umfleet.
• Mathematics Advanced Awards: Tucker Bryant, Chance Dodd, Jocie Floyd, Hunter Powell and Ashley Rodabaugh.
Teachers and coaches also distributed awards for student performances in the classrooms and in sports. Congratulations to each of these students!
