Obituary – Barbara D. Campbell

Barbara Dean (Krewson) Campbell, of Licking, passed away at her home on June 4, 2026, at the age of 87.
Barb, as she was known to friends, was born at Montauk, Missouri, December 11, 1938, to Ray Dean Krewson and Pearl Audry (Logan) Krewson. The second of four children, she lived mostly in Missouri.
She married Charles Campbell on July 12, 1958, in Lenox, Missouri, and to this union one daughter, Sandra, was born. After a two-year stint in the Army at Ft. Benning, Georgia, the little family headed home to the Ozarks, where they spent most of their lives in the Licking and Salem area.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Wayne and Gary.
She leaves behind her husband of 67 years, Charles; her daughter, Sandy; one brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Deloris (Reed) Krewson; plus a host of other relatives and friends. She loved her family dearly and always wanted a big hug.
She was baptized at the Church of Christ where she remained a member all her life. She attended faithfully as her health would allow. She was an extremely personable woman who had many friends from wherever she traveled, and she loved to travel with her family when she was able. She loved to laugh and tell a good story. Those who knew and loved her will miss her greatly.
A visitation for Barbara will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fox Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Church of Christ in Licking at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Licking Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Fox Funeral Home.
