Ozark Xpress and Miranda Bury will appear at Builder Bash 2026 at The Resort at Boiling Springs on Saturday, April 25. Builder Bash will begin with a float trip on Friday, April 24, followed by live music from 3 to 9 p.m. on Saturday.

Ozark Xpress with Bobby Ray will take the stage from 3 to 6 p.m., followed by Nashville songwriter and recording artist Miranda Bury from 6 to 9 p.m. There will be no cover charge, and a raffle will be held featuring a .40-caliber Glock pistol, with raffle tickets $20.00 each. Donations will also be accepted. Proceeds from the event will go to the color guard at the Salem American Legion, where Bobby Ray is Vice Commander.

Bobby Ray has been in the music business for 46 years, and 20 of those years were while serving in the military. He has been participating in live music bashes for decades. Bobby Ray recalls a benefit in Kyrgyzstan in 2003, when he was still in the service. Thousands of people attended, and proceeds from the live music event built a school.

When working in the coal mines in Petersburg, Indiana, Bobby Ray’s nickname was Bob the Builder. His nickname was incorporated into the title of his music festivals, and Builder Bashes were the result. Bobby Ray moved to the area five years ago, and Builder Bashes have been held at the Salem Eagles Club the last few years. This will be the first year at The Resort at Boiling Springs.

In addition to their bar and grill, camping is available at the resort, including camper hookups. Canoes and kayaks can also be rented, and the resort will transport those who are taking a float trip on the Big Piney River.

Ozark Xpress plays country and southern rock, along with some classic rock and requests. Bobby Ray plays guitar and harmonica, and sings lead vocals and back-up vocals. He may sing back-up on a few of Miranda Bury’s songs.

Miranda Bury is a country music artist from Southern Illinois. She sings mostly her own work, and has won awards for her music in the St. Louis area. She was voted 2023 Best Local Artist in River Front Times, and St. Louis Magazine named her the 2024 and 2025 Best Local Musician.

Bobby Ray recommends you get there early to find a seat. The restaurant/bar area is smoke-free, and an outdoor smoking area is available. Those seeking a raffle ticket can purchase one at the event or by calling Bobby Ray at 618-317-0980, at The Resort at Boiling Springs, or at the Salem American Legion post. Bobby Ray invites everyone to join the Friday float, and he hopes to see you enjoying the live music on Saturday afternoon and evening.
