Licking man charged with child abuse and domestic assault

Travin Pendergraft, age 25, of Licking, is facing felony charges of Abuse or Neglect of a Child (no sexual contact) and second degree Domestic Assault after an incident which occurred on February 14, 2026.

A Texas County deputy was dispatched to a report of a domestic assault in the early afternoon of Saturday, February 14. The deputy observed red marks on the cheeks and upper neck, and a distinct red mark toward the middle of the neck of a child whom Pendergraft was accused of choking. Pendergraft denied intentionally choking the child but did admit to grabbing the child by the face.

Pendergraft was arrested; he was released on a $3,000.00 cash bond on February 15, 2026. Arraignment is scheduled for March 31, 2026.
