Obituary – Lee D. Sutton

Lee Daniel Sutton, age 51, was born on May 30, 1974, to Danny and Connie (Wells) Sutton in Houston, Mo. He went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo.

Lee grew up in Ellis Prairie, Mo., and attended school at Success.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, three uncles, and stepmom, Evelyn.

He married Thressa Warneld on October 7, 2024, in Salem, Mo.

Lee is survived by his wife, Thressa Sutton, of Licking, Mo.; his step-mom, Tammy Sutton, of Dixon, Mo.; 10 siblings and their significant others, Benny Sutton and Becky Coyne, Aaron and Jessica Neeley, of Bucyrus, Mo., Renee Klein, of Mansfield, Mo., Guy and Erin Wake, of Jefferson City, Mo., Jennifer Wake, Bonnie and Rickey Wilson, of Broken Arrow, Okla., Jennifer Warner and Paul Lewis, of Houston, Mo., Stephen and Rebecca Laster, of Springfield, Mo., Cassie Laster and Zackery Thurman, of Cabool, Mo., and Joshua Laster, of Cabool, Mo.; 27 nieces and nephews and many friends.

Lee had a heart as big as he was and never met a stranger. He enjoyed spending time with family, singing karaoke, doing arts and crafts, and doing small engine work. He enjoyed cooking, playing poker and being outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and making plans for the future.
