Pursuit ends in crash in Licking

Jason Hall, age 44, of Houston, was arrested on Friday evening, January 23, after a pursuit ended in a crash on private property off of Green Street in Licking.
A Texas County deputy observed Hall driving a 1998 Lincoln Town Car on Maple Avenue and attempted to conduct a traffic stop due to Hall’s driver’s license being revoked. Hall fled from the deputy, traveling back to Highway 32 then onto South Main Street. He attempted to elude law enforcement by turning down the alley just past Texas County Museum of Art and History, then cutting in front of Nelson Meat Processing to private property south of the processing plant and west of Green Street. The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report indicates Hall lost control of his vehicle and spun 180 degrees, then accelerated toward and struck a pursuing deputy’s vehicle and a stack of pallets before stopping.
Hall has been charged with Assault 2nd Degree on Law Enforcement, felony Driving While Revoked/Suspended, Aggravated Fleeing a Stop/Detention Causing Injury, and Property Damage 1st Degree. A no-bond warrant was issued by Judge Brad Eidson.
Texas County Deputy Patrick Kelley was checked by medical personnel and was released. Sheriff Scott Lindsey reports Deputy Kelley is back to full duty.
The patrol vehicle, a 2023 Ford Explorer, received extensive damage.
The Texas County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in this incident by the Licking Police Department, which attempted to deploy stop sticks during the pursuit, and MSHP.
“This incident should serve as a warning not to flee from law enforcement,” advised Sheriff Lindsey. “If you flee from law enforcement, not only do you risk injuring yourself or another person, there will be serious criminal charges to answer for. The defendant in this case is now facing two Class B felonies.”
