Obituary – Mike Chew

Mike Chew, age 63, of Plato, Mo., son of Marcella Sansoucie and Robert Chew, was born February 6, 1962, in Rolla, Missouri, and departed from this life on December 12, 2025, at home following a short battle with cancer. 

Mike attended school in Cuba, Missouri. Mike pursued careers in construction, sanitation, auto repair and greatest of all, an over the road truck driver. He enjoyed reminiscing about his travels. Mike, Sue and family owned and operated 63 Roadhouse, a karaoke bar at Licking, Mo. It was a source of enjoyment for all involved. During that time Mike and family made many friends. Mike enjoyed being outdoors overall, whether it was simply mowing the lawn, fishing, or sitting and visiting with friends. His favorite outdoor activity was deer hunting with his longtime friend Walter Beal and stepson-in-law Kyle Lambert. He had a love for music and loved to sing karaoke and attend concerts at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia every summer. 

Mike is preceded in death by his father, Robert “Bob” Chew; brother, Bob Chew; his sisters, Donna Williams and Darlene Chew; stepfathers Leon Hassell and Charlie Sansoucie. 

Mike is survived by his wife, Susan Spector, of Plato, Mo.; his mother, Marcella Sansoucie, of Blackwell, Mo.; his brother, Randy Chew; his children, Michael Jr., Jason, Christopher, Jamie and Cody, and his stepdaughter, Lisa Lambert and husband Kyle Lambert. 

Mike will be missed by his family and friends, but you can bet he had a heck of a welcome party into Heaven as he was reunited with his loved ones who preceded him in death.

A visitation for Mike was held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 12 to 1 p.m. with a funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Evans Funeral Home of Houston, Mo. Online condolences may be left at www.evansfh.com.
