Obituary – Ruby D. Garrison

Ruby Delores (Craig) Garrison, daughter of Etta (Holland) (Craig) Herin and Glen Craig, was born May 1, 1935, on a farm near Licking, Mo. She passed away April 25, 2025, at Las Cruces Village, Las Cruces, N.M., a few days before her 90th birthday.
Ruby attended Hepsoda, a one room school, before graduating from Licking High School in 1953. After graduation she left on the train for Denver where she married Richard (R.C.) Garrison, of Raymondville, Mo., on June 24, 1953. To this union of 72 years, two children, Gary and Darold, were born.
Surviving are her husband, Richard (R.C.), of Las Cruces, N.M.; sons, Gary Garrison, of Las Vegas, Nev., Darold Garrison, of Las Cruces, N.M.; grandsons, Curtis Over and wife Amy, of Denver, Colo., Aaron, of Denver, Colo.; sister, Barbara Robinson, of Maryland Heights, Mo.; two great-grandchildren, Mason and Brianna Over, nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Etta Herin and Glen Craig, stepfather Henry Herin, brother Robert Lloyd Craig and wife Mary Kay, step-sister Emily Nelson and husband Doyle.
Ruby and R.C. lived in Denver, Colo., for 69 years. After declining health they moved to Las Cruces, N.M., to live with their son Darold.
She and R.C. enjoyed many years going to Arizona for the winter where they made many friends sharing their love of exploring the area in their camper and SUV.
Ruby was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church in Denver.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
