Obituary – Lloyd E. Heavin

Lloyd Edward Heavin, of Newburg, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at the age of 65.

Lloyd was born in Phoenix, Arizona, on April 14, 1959, to the late Richard Heavin and Mary Elva (Rogers) Heavin. In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his infant brother, Everett Heavin.

Lloyd was a pastor for over 35 years, serving in different communities in Missouri and Kentucky. He devoted the last few years to caring for his mother, until her passing in 2023. Lloyd loved tinkering with his old trucks. He was a devoted and active member of his community and Philadelphia Baptist Church and his presence will be missed.

Lloyd will also be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes: two sisters, Jan Ziegler and husband, Mark, of Edgar Springs, and Nancy Robertson and husband, Rick, of Rolla; two nieces, Janel Ziegler and Arianna Gray; two nephews, Justin Robertson and Ryan Robertson; special friends, Dean Gately and wife, Rhonda; as well as many great-nieces, cousins, extended family, and many friends.

A memorial service for Lloyd Edward Heavin will be conducted at noon on September 27, 2024, at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla, Missouri. A visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. for family and friends.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Philadelphia Baptist Church.
