Obituary – Tracy S. Hendrickson

Tracy Sue Hendrickson, age 51, of Madison, Wis., passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at her home. She was born on Sept. 20, 1972, in Houston, Mo., the daughter of Peggy (Mobley) Salmon and Jim Brannam.
Tracy graduated from Oregon High School and enjoyed a career as a housing compliance specialist with WHEDA prior to her retirement on Feb. 16, 2024. She loved shopping, gardening, cooking (she was known for providing diners with a “Tracy sized piece”), fishing and camping. She also enjoyed listening to music and attending concerts. Tracy had a passion for traveling and going to the ocean. She always looked forward to time spent cuddling with her animals.
As Tracy would say, “Pull up your big girl panties” and get on with it!
Tracy is survived by her mother, Peggy Sue Salmon; father, Jim Brannam, of Success; daughters, Jasmine Sue Brannam and Alexandra Hendrickson; grandchildren (who referred to her as “Happy”), Jazalynn Brannam, Julianna Shepherd, Jeilani Shepherd, Jayceon Shepherd, Zuri Guess and Crew Guess; partner, Robert Smith; sister, Lisa Bollig; and her pets, Jaxon, Nala, and Kitty. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ricky Brannam; grandparents, WIlliam “Grumpy” and Kathy Mobley; stepfather, Eldon Salmon; her boy, Winston; and grandparents, Virgil and Edna Brannam; uncle and aunt, Earl and Maggie Smith; and aunt, Marie Stark, all of Houston.
A memorial service was held at Gunderson East Funeral and Cremation Care, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, Wis., at 3 p.m. on Friday, August 2. Visitation was held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
