Obituary – Princess M. Fahnestock

Princess Mae Fahnestock, age 81, was born January 23, 1943, in Leesville, La., to Milburn and Ella Martin.
Princess passed away August 1, 2024, at her home in Licking, Mo.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Milburn and Ella Martin; son, Chris Thomas; granddaughter, Jessica Marie; brother, Bill; and sister-in-law, Anna.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis Fahnestock, Sr.; son, Lewis, Jr.; daughters, Anita Lynne, Jennifer Mae, and Rebecca Ann; brother, Wallace Martin; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Princess graduated with her bachelor’s degree and then worked for Fort Polk as a contract specialist. She transferred to Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., where she retired. She worked for SCCC, in Licking, for ten years. She was also full time with the Licking VFW Auxiliary for twenty-eight years. She was a substitute teacher with the Licking School District and camp leader and chaperone for the First Free Will Baptist Church, a member of the Booster Club, and a Girl Scouts Leader.
Princess was always there to help others. Her ashes will be scattered in Prairie Creek in her hometown of Leesville, Louisiana, where she held many great memories.
A visitation for Princess will take place Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 12 to 1 p.m. at Fox Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at Fox Funeral Home. Arrangements are entrusted to Fox Funeral Home.
