Obituary – Eric P. Black

Eric Paul Black, of Houston, Mo., passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024, at the age of 31.

Eric was born to Anthony Black and the late Janet “Binky” (Greene) Black on December 31, 1992, in Rolla, Mo. In addition to his mother, Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Mary Black, as well as Hubert and MaryAnn Greene; one uncle, Dallas Black; and cousin, Shane Black.

Eric was an avid hunter and loved to fish. He enjoyed mushroom hunting when they were in season. Eric enjoyed many hours working on cars, riding dirt bikes and four-wheeling. Eric’s greatest joy, however, was spending his time with family and friends.

Eric P. Black will be greatly missed by his remaining family which includes: his fianceé, Sydney Hill of Houston; two sons, Cash Black and Creedence Black, of Houston; father, Anthony Black and fianceé, Narlene Neal, of Edgar Springs; brother, Brent Black of Jefferson City; sister, Amy Black and fiancé, Chuck Marlatt, of Edgar Springs; nieces, Hadley Marlatt and Wrenley Marlatt, of Edgar Springs; aunts, Robin Kyle and fiancé, Jim Brown, and Paula Watkins; uncle, Steve Black; and cousins, Krisy, Seth, Kelsey, Shawn, Jake and Megan.

A funeral service for Eric P. Black will be conducted on Friday, August 2, 2024, beginning at 1 p.m. at the Null and Son Funeral Home of Rolla. A visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m.
