Obituary – Reba Lane

Reba Lane, 79, of Licking, passed away May 27, 2024, in Springfield, Mo. She was born in Palace, Mo., on May 23, 1945, the daughter of Charlie and Okla Hildebrand.

Reba enjoyed her embroidery, quilting, seek & find workbooks, watching her birds, loved dancing, and listening to good ole country and gospel music. But most importantly she loved her kids and grandkids, and having a house full of family and friends to spoil was her biggest joy. There was always a hot meal and you never were hungry. After you cleaned your plate, you never left until you had a sweet treat made with love from mom and grandma.

Reba is preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Lane, of 58 years; daughter, Kimberely Samel; great-granddaughter, Olivia Lane; parents, Charlie and Okla Hildebrand; sisters, Ula Wade, Hazel Huff, Anna Parks and Lillian Vaugh; and brothers, Ethmer Hildebrand and Gary Hildebrand.

She is survived by daughters, Janet McCaslin (Chris) and Brenda Love; son, Carl Lane (Deanna); 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sister, Wilma Zook; and brothers, Jim Hildebrand (Phyllis) and Joe Hildebrand.

A visitation for Reba will take place Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Roby Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. at Roby Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Palace Cemetery. Memorial contributions may go to Palace Cemetery in loving memory of Reba. Online condolences may be left at www.foxfh.net.
