Obituary – Charles R. Bartlett, Jr.

Charles Richard Bartlett Jr., son of Charles Sr. and Edna (Lewis) Bartlett, was born September 18, 1956, in Columbus, Ohio, and passed away May 14, 2024, at the Salem Care Center in Salem, Mo., at the age of 68.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and numerous uncles and aunts.

He is survived by his Uncle Virgil and Aunt Nancy Bartlett, of Guysville, Ohio; Aunt Carol Congrove, of Bradenton, Fla.; and a host of loving cousins and friends that are going to greatly miss him.

Charles loved family and holiday gatherings. He also loved a good game of checkers. Charles was a faithful member of the Licking First Baptist Church, where he worked the sound system and his Christian faith never wavered.

He was a devoted member of the Ozark Mountain Amateur Radio Club, where they all knew him by his call-in sign, KCOWUD, and was the Vice-President for many years. He loved being a part of the amateur radio club family, where they always looked out for each other and helped him with a radio or antenna problem. He always went to amateur radio events and barbeques when he was able to. He always talked about his good friends Darren Brown and Willie Adey. He truly loved his radio family. Charles will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will take place Friday, May 24, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Licking. A Memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Licking. Online condolences may be left at www.foxfh.net. Arrangements are entrusted to Fox Funeral Home.
