Obituary – Karl D. Swaringim

Karl Dean Swaringim, age 55, passed away May 9, 2024, at home in Licking, Mo. He was born December 23, 1968, in Farmington, Mo., to Kenneth and Reba Swaringim.

Karl is preceded in death by his mother, Reba Swaringim; and grandpa, Henry Swaringim.

He is survived by wife, Cathi Swaringim; daughter, Korina Swaringim; father, Kenneth Swaringim; sisters, Kathy (Jaye) Watson, Kimberly (Nick) Kepple and Shakoda (Lance) Davis; brothers, Patrick (Reva) Swaringim and Cliff York; and grandmother, Luetta Swaringim.

Karl loved bow hunting, playing softball, coaching his daughter’s softball team for years, supporting our military, learning about history, seeing how many times a month he could get thrown in Facebook jail, making moonshine and watching The Simpson’s with his daughter. He especially loved spending time at home with his family.

A visitation for Karl will take place Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Boone Creek Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 12 p.m. on Saturday, at Boone Creek Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may go to ALS.org in loving memory of Karl. Online condolences may be left at www.foxfh.net. Arrangements are entrusted to Fox Funeral Home.

    Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you as you mourn the loss of your beloved husband and father. Karl was a kind, patient and thoughtful individual whose company we always enjoyed. He shall always remain an integral part of our fondest memories and shall never be forgotten. May memories of his many gifts, in addition to his boundless love for both of you, remain with you eternally.
