Obituary – Reba S. Duncan

 

Reba Sue (Jones) Duncan, age 77, passed away Friday, May 3, 2024, related to heart and lung complications. For 60 years, Reba was married to Donnie Duncan and they lived in Licking, Mo., for over 47 years.

Reba is survived by her family: husband, Donnie Duncan; daughter, LaDonna Sue (Duncan) Vestal; son, Jeffrey Allen Duncan; daughter-in-law, Georgia May (Sullins) Duncan; four grandchildren, Carrie Sue (Floyd) Bextermueller and her husband Brian Bextermueller, Scotty Vestal, Joshua Duncan and Jacob Duncan; three great-grandchildren, Carson and Camden Bextermueller and Emma Vestal; two half-brothers, Stanley and Thomas Landreth; as well as a host of in-laws and other family members.

She is preceded in death by her two grandparents who raised her, Lola and Louie Reagan; parents, Mildred and Elmer Jones; two brothers, Wesley Dale and Donald Jones; and a half-brother, Johnny Dale Landreth.

Reba worked hard all her life. This included working at the movie theater in Rolla, Mo., Tension Envelope in St. Louis, Mo., Silkscreener and a Union Rep at Rawlings, in Licking, Mo. In “semi” retirement, she owned the Coffee Pot Café at the four-way stop in Licking, Mo., she did title work at the Roby Auto Auction and her all time “favorite,” helping Donnie herd up the cattle.

Reba loved her family, enjoyed her birds, candles and puzzles, and was a lifelong loyal Pepsi drinker. Reba will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Honoring Reba’s wishes, she will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Northwest Texas County Lions Club and dropped off at Fox Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.foxfh.net.
