Obituary – Sherry E. Zike

Sherry Elaine Zike, of Edgar Springs, Mo., passed away Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the age of 68.

She was born on September 8, 1958, in Rolla, Mo., to the late Franklin Eugene Dunham and Elsie Lorraine (Miles) Dunham. On May 17, 2008, she married Michael Dale Zike in Moberly, Mo.

In addition to her parents, Sherry was also preceded in death by her daughter, Mandy Newkirk; one brother, Roger Dunham; and three sisters, Deanna Dunham, Vickey Greear and Kay Spikes.

Sherry enjoyed being outdoors and camping. Cooking for her family was also a favorite activity especially for the holidays. Her greatest joy was spending time with her precious grandbabies.

Sherry will be sadly missed by her surviving family which includes: her husband, Mike Zike, of Edgar Springs, Mo.; five sons, John Scott and wife Kelsey, of Lenox, Mo., Eric Scott and wife Tierney, of Florida, Daniel Scott and wife Krystal, of Leasburg, Mo., Cody Scott and wife Sierra, of Flat, Mo., and Chase Tyler, of Edgar Springs, Mo.; three stepsons, Jack Zike and significant other Maddie Adams, of Moberly, Mo., Chris Zike and wife Allison, of Cairo, Mo., and Timmy Zike and wife Taysha, of Cairo, Mo.; a sister, Tammie Boswell, of Rolla, Mo.; twenty-seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends.

A funeral service for Sherry E. Zike will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions in Sherry’s memory are suggested to the Delbert Day Cancer Institute.
