Burglary and stealing arrest

On June 22, 2026, Texas County deputies received a report of a stolen lawn mower at a residence on Highway Z in the Houston area. Deputies reviewed video from a security camera and identified a suspect for the theft. The suspect, Lloyd R. Hill, was located at his residence and taken into custody. Hill admitted to stealing the lawn mower and selling it. Deputies located the stolen property at a residence in the Success area. Hill was transported to the Texas County Jail.
Texas County Prosecuting Attorney Parke Stevens charged Lloyd R. Hill, age 67, of Cabool, with Burglary 2nd Degree and Stealing. Hill was incarcerated in the Texas County Jail pending a $4,000 cash only bond per Judge Ellsworth.
The above charges are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
