Licking JH students make their mark at 2026 Missouri FBLA conference

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Members of the Licking Junior High chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Middle Level recently showcased their business experience and leadership skills at the Missouri FBLA Middle Level State Leadership Conference.
The conference, which drew top-performing middle school students from across the state, featured dynamic competitive events, leadership development workshops, and awards ceremonies designed to prepare the next generation of business leaders. Four students from Licking represented their chapter in highly competitive business and technology events, ranging from Exploring Business Concepts to Digital Citizenship and Leadership.
Three Licking Junior High students achieved top placements and made four stage appearances, including:
• Sofie Hutsell, 5th in Exploring Personal Finance
• Malaina Lonning, 8th in Exploring Technology and 9th in Digital Citizenship
• Sofie Hutsell, Natasha Ogden 9th in Exploring Digital Video Production
• Sophia Chambers, participated in Exploring Events
