The skeletal remains recovered during the execution of a search warrant on March 10, 2026, from a residence on Lundy Road have been scientifically confirmed as Ceasar Asbury based on dental comparison performed by the St. Louis County Medical Examiner’s Office, according to a press release from the Texas County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, May 7.
Additional information and evidence were presented to the Texas County Prosecuting Attorney. Based on that information, Texas County Prosecuting Attorney Parke Stevens has filed additional charges against Chaun and Tamla Asbury, of Bucyrus.
Chaun and Tamla Asbury are both facing charges of Murder 2nd Degree, Abuse or Neglect of a Child Resulting in Death, three counts of Domestic Assault 1st Degree, Abandonment of a Corpse, and eight counts of Abuse or Neglect of a Child. Chaun and Tamla Asbury are being held in the Texas County Jail on no-bond warrants per Judge Fox.
The above charges are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
