Obituary – Ralph C. Light

Ralph Curtis Light, 74, of Edgar Springs, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026, peacefully at his home. He was born on June 8, 1951, in Seaton, Mo., to Arvel and Sarah Ellen (Shafer) Light. He attended school at Pershing Elementary School and Rolla High School. On May 29, 1998, he married Dana Sue (Hance) Light in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dana survives at the home.

Ralph managed Phillips and Co and owned Light Electrical Service for over 20 years.

He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ as well as the Shrine Club, Freemasons, The Country Club, and the Edgar Springs Saddle Club.

Ralph enjoyed golfing, working at local rodeos, hunting for elk and mule deer in Colorado, hunting on his farm, raising cattle and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Dana Light; his son, Jacob Light, and his fiancée, Montana Higgins, of Edgar Springs; sister-in-law Sally Light, of Rolla; sister Diana Wagoner, of St. James; brother James Light and his wife Kathy, of Edgar Springs; sister Ann Light, of Rolla; nephews Danny Wagoner, and Jason Wagoner and his wife, Monica. He was loved and will be missed by many other extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Ralph is preceded in death by his brother, Vernon (Les) Light, Betty Penfield, Judy Frolick, Rick Light, Terry Light and Billy Light.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
