Wildcats win Stockton Tournament

The Licking Wildcat baseball team won the Stockton Tournament with a win, 8-3, over Mt. Vernon in the championship game on Monday, March 23. They also defeated Strafford 5-2 and Buffalo 20-2 in the tournament. Licking faced conference foe Richland on Friday, March 27, and tallied another win with an 8-3 score. Saturday’s action saw them facing Thayer and Salem, Arkansas, and the bats were hot, with Licking overpowering Thayer 16-2 and Salem 22-5. This week began with a 19-0 trouncing of St. James on Monday evening, bringing their record to 8-0 for the spring season.
