The Show Me Skills Talent Competition is being held in Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Cadrian Hutsell, a Licking High School alumnus, has advanced through auditions and the semifinal round to be one of the ten finalists in the competition.
The talent competition gives contestants the opportunity to share their talents live in front of judges and a real audience, and one act will be awarded $10,000 at its conclusion, which has been moved to Friday, March 6.
Live auditions were held at the A.C. Brase Arena on Wednesday, February 4, and contestants were given two minutes to wow the judges with their talents. Twenty-one acts were selected to advance to the semifinal round, which was held on Thursday, February 12.
Live audience voting chose eight finalists from the semifinal round, and two Wild Card contestants selected by judges brought the total number of contestants competing in Friday night’s Grand Finale to ten. Finalists were Zander Bradwell, Daphne Culver, Double Take, Abigail Frizzle, Jane Gaul, Cadrian Hutsell, Daisey Loyd, Lindsey Seyer, Tyler Sutton and Kaytlinn West.
The Grand Finale will be professionally judged, and the grand prize will be awarded live on stage Friday evening, March 6. It begins at 7 p.m. at the A.C. Brase Arena, 410 Kiwanis Drive, Cape Girardeau. Tickets are available at showmeskills.com.
